                                                               The most favourite mess for any people in triplicane and chepauk is undoubtedly "Ambal Mess " situated in Big street. It is old house converted to a hotel .It is so small that it can accommodate around 16 to 18 people at the time . The best selling item in this eat out is spinach Dosai . Everyday there will be one variety of Spinach and they sell like hot cakes . The other important items that are available in evening are Ragi dosai , Chola dosai ,Pearl Millet dosai[Kambu], and masala dosai stuffed with different items each day .One day it will be Double beans, mutter and Banna stem etc which are really good for health . The price for all these items are unbelievably affordable for all though some complaint the quantity is Small.

My favourites are

Idly with thick Chutney[Katti chutney]
Chapatti and Kurma
Egg othappam
Puri with chutney
Masala vadai and Medhu vadai
Chola dosai

The owner name is chinnathambi . A stiff man with good sense of humor at some times . The server name is Balu with amazing capacity for remembering orders placed by each individuals.Parcel man is shanmugam and assisted by his elder brother .Cleaner boy is Sekar and finally there is very important man , the master[Couldnot recollect his name ]

Try out this place for at least once ,i f you near this place . No doubt it will be mouth watering experience .

Madurai Konar Kadai

Ask any maduraites about this restaurant , they will speak volumes about it .Such is the fame of this hotel , celebrities in all forms of life
will never miss a chance to eat here ,whenever they were in Madurai . Exactly don't know when they were started , but its been there for more than around 25 + years.They started in a small place near Library in simmakal .Very recently they moved to new place at Simmakal Bus stop .They have branches at Annanagar and Near Railway station only
Beware of the name . there are lot of shops with similar name .Only these 3 places are original .

Now let us look at the menu

The favourite of every one is Kari Dosai . Simply delicious . A single dosai cost around Rs 70 [When i visited last time ].It is combination of egg ,suka varuval and dosai.Have eaten Kari dosai in many places in Tamilnadu , but none of them are able to give this taste .

Some of other must haves are

Oil dosai
Onion Kari
Egg Kari
Kola urundai

Also their gravy they give for dosai and idly is utterly delicious .

Apart from these there are numbers of items made from Mutton ,which you could never seen or heard it before .

So next time when you are in Madurai , don't miss Konar Kadai and their Kari Dosai .Happy eating folks

When I met Saravanan Paramasivan in Scope during 2006 , my investment desire also started .It is he who guided me in all forms of Investment .sort of my investment Guru .Had come up long way from there . Thought of sharing some tips that I follow, with you all .Here is the first one

Almost everyone is paying Insurance premium of above 26,000 per year . When we try to yearly premium for this much amount, it is difficult for most of us .So generally I follow this idea ,which is quite handy for me .
Opening a Recurring deposit is the best option . For eg if  you have to pay a yearly premium of Rs 26,000 every year during May month , then open a RD for Rs 2300 on  June month for 1 year .So when the amount get matured by next year , take the amount and pay your premium amount .Immediately open a another RD for Next year. What more you get some extra amount as interest  also.

Now days opening a RD is very simple .We can open it thru online banking . Interest rate is also quite good .

Alternately we can open a Fixed deposit also for a Year and at the end of year , you can take the amount and pay your premium .

AVM Rajeswari Theater

                                                               


                                        Yesterday i got  a chance to see Movie at AVM Raejeswari Theater along with my spouse for the Movie Kullanari Koottam" . With a little doubt only , I went there as the first class ticket - [Box] is priced @ Rs 50 wondering how will be the service. But it turned out be remarkably unexpected experience . First of all , it's vacant place inside the theater complex. .A humongous one .Never seen in recent times such thing .Seating capacity was good , It was real worth for the money given . The most impressive thing was playing "National anthem before every show beginning. It was all of sudden .A slide asking people to stand for playing national anthem . All People got up and even some pople started to sing along with it . Is any theatre in India is following this nice gesture ? . Overall It somehow broguht be back to childhood days where I have seen movies in this kind of atmosphere . Just wondering , how they able to manage it with such minimum cost for ticket .While the so called high fi theaters -multiplex filling the pocket with Vitamin M .

To add cheery to it , was the movie itself .Kullanari Koottam was excellent . hope I will have this kind of experience in this theater in the coming days also .

2010 - Turned out to be the best year in my life so far . My Marriage , HCL Job ,anna retrun from USA , made this year a real wonderful one .

2011 looks more promising and i wish it would break the 2010 record of mine

Bangalore Trip - July 3 & 4

July 3,2010 - It marked my return to Bangalore after a gap of 4 years . It was perfect occasion to visit my brother new house for the first time . It was simply fantastic .Hope I will have one like this in future . A lot happened over the years and Bangalore looked more beautiful than before .Traffic continued to be the prime problem here and i do think with the coming of metro rail  it will solve this problem . It was so much fun to play with Naren and his girl friend Deepti .And i am wondering where Naren gets his energy for playing .I certainly miss him when i am here . The only thing i am concerned about his adamant behaviour sometimes and his interest for studies .Hope it will go away as he grows up

In short , A wonderful week end at Bangalore  .

Meenakshi Amman Temple and Express Avenue

Meenakshi Amman Temple - Almost every Indian knows about it and wish to see it once in their life time .Believe it or not i have visited only twice in my life time [ During my kids days i have visited n number of times just to see the camel ] .But those two are real special moments in my life .It's not like i hated to go there .We can put it like i didn't created a chance myself to go there.

What a place it was .A true architecture beauty . Some of the paintings are really too wonderful even today . A must see place in our lifetime .Now i am regretting , why i haven't visited this place before .May be it is reserved for the second special visit [Details about it will be given later] . Very soon u can check my orkut account for some breathtaking snaps from this place

Last week , i made a visit to this mall .Another place to hangout for Chennai guys . The good thing about this mall is ,navigation is as easy as cutting a cake with knife . It is really one of those malls where i had a chance to see right from ground ducking . Always wondered how it will look like once the construction is over . I must admit that it shaped out very well beyond  the imagination .Looking forward to see all the upcoming malls and multiplexes .Next in my plan is AGS Royal Mutlipex , Villivakam

HCL Innings Begins

Today  I joined the family of HCL .Hope it will be a long one .I am really tired of these interviews and also filling those tiresome forms while joining any organizations . The work location is my interview venue  ie
Amjikari ,Nelson manickam Road , HCL Technology . But this will be for time being , the real location will be at SEZ Zone at Shollianallr .Looking forward to that date .

Four years in IT

6.5.2010 - This day marks my 4th year completion in the IT field . Looking back , i can clearly say that
i had a chance to work in all kind of companies in my field . Started with a small organization ,then moved to CMM level 3 ,then to a top mnc in the world  then again to cmm level 5 company with a work at client place  and finally a very good Indian based mnc .
